Camera View 3

Products

FullView® cameras provide unrivaled high-resolution, seamless, artifact-free, blur-free, up-to-360° panoramic video in real time.

Each FullView® camera is operated by FullView's FullVista™ software that runs under the Windows operating system. This proprietary software — with its extensive user interface and broad functionality — is specific to FullView cameras and hence not sold individually. In particular, this software cannot, as many of you have enquired, overcome the limitations of Outwardly Pointing Cameras — no software can.

FullView welcomes requests for custom panoramic cameras, especially those that advance the state of the art. Its offerings in the past have included the FC-1005 and the FC-110, each accompanied by a server to record MPEG4 video at full frame rate and full resolution.

However, FullView no longer offers any "off-the-shelf" product, only custom products. FullView's primary current offering is a license to its patents to manufacture mass products, such as the Microsoft RoundTable, now sold as Polycom CX5000.

Note here that although FullView-licensed products provide seamless, blur-free, composite images in sharp contrast to Outwardly Pointing Cameras, FullView cameras cost no more to manufacture than do the latter. The cost of FullView's license and optics is offset by its providing the same resolution with fewer cameras, by not requiring image overlap followed by image blurring as required by Outwardly Pointing Cameras.

FC−1005 Camera

The FC−1005 was a FullCircle™ color video camera that incorporated 5 CCD-cameras that together provided roughly 5 million capture pixels.

It had these Specifications and this Packing List, and these Highlights:

FC-1005 Photo

  • Field of view, 360° Horizontal and ±25° Vertical

  • Depth of field from 1 foot to infinity

  • High color fidelity

  • RGB and luma gains varying on a per-camera basis to provide seamlessness in color, brightness and contrast

The FC−1005 was designed primarily for webcasting, virtual reality, video gaming and virtual tourism. See Gallery for sample images. You will notice that these images are seamless not only in geometry, but also in color, brightness and contrast.

FC−110 Camera

The FC−110 is a FullCircle™ black-and-white video camera with 10 CCD-cameras that together provide roughly 4 million capture pixels.

It has these Specifications and this Packing List, and these Highlights:

FC-110 Photo

  • Field of view, 360° Horizontal and +15° to −45° Vertical

  • Resolution to "see" person at 600 ft

  • Sensitivity to "see" under half moon

  • Gain, shutter and aperture varying on a per-camera basis to optimize visibility

  • Nitrogen-pressurized housing, heated, EMI and vibration resistant, antireflective

The FC−110 is designed primarily for surveillance. See Gallery for sample images. You will notice that these images are seamless in geometry, but not in brightness and contrast. The latter seamlessness is sacrificed for optimization of visibility within each component camera's field of view, this optimization performed individually per camera independent of all other component cameras.

FullVista™ Software

Each FullView® camera is operated by FullVista™ software that runs under the Windows operating system. This software is sold only in conjunction with FullView cameras, and not individually.

FullVista™ Software offers these and other capabilities:

 ·

Display any number of seamless panoramic video windows, each video window with user configurable size, position and resolution

 ·

Display video either on a rolled-open cylindrical imaging surface called SingleView™, in which straight lines appear curved, or on a flat imaging surface called PlanarView™, in which straight lines appear straight

 ·

Digitally pan, tilt and zoom panoramic video in user-defined steps

 ·

Auto pan continuously to the left or right at user-defined speed

 ·

Organize video windows into groups, so that user can digitally pan, tilt and zoom simultaneously and synchronously within each group

 ·

Allow one group of windows to track another, so that if user clicks on any image location in one window, images displayed in windows of the other group are automatically recentered on the clicked-on location

 ·

Define graphical background for every video window, for instance to indicate directions/tilts retrieved from electronic compass/gimbal

 ·

Antialias video to minimize jagged-edge artifacts

 ·

Deinterlace video to remove comb-type motion artifacts

 ·

Control luma/chroma of component cameras — not available with all models

 ·

Remotely control major camera functions using TCP/IP protocol

 ·

Display video across multiple monitors, including with image overlap or image underlap

 ·

Record video at full frame rate and full resolution on hard disks in MPEG4 format, allowing subsequent playback that simulates either live video or video as it was displayed during recording

 ·

Record snapshots on hard disks, and then play these back

 ·

Publish recorded videos and snapshots in various formats, including bmp, jpeg and avi

 ·

Customize user interface, including toolbars and F-keys that allow easy access to frequent operations
